It's actually a pretty easy night.
At 7 I am watching "How I Met Your Mother"(CBS),"Chuck"(NBC) and "Prison Break"(FOX) which I recommend in that order. At 7:30 I am going to give "Big Bang Theory"(CBS) another chance, I watched the pilot and thought it was a little too over the top. Maybe in HD I will like it more, but I don't recommend trying at this point.
At 8 I am watching "Heroes"(NBC), "Two and a Half Men"(CBS) and "K-Ville"(FOX). Heroes is one of my favorites, and I am extremely excited about it. 2 and 1/2 Men is constantly funny but only occasionally hilarious, most of the jokes are small but some of the storylines are great. I am giving K-Ville another chance because I usually give a show a few episodes before dropping it, but this will really have to impress me over the next couple weeks. I will probably not bother watching "Rules of Engagement"(CBS) at 8:30 even though I like most of the actors and Bianca Kajlich is pretty hot. The show just wasn't funny enough last year.
At 9 I only have "Journeyman"(NBC), I watched the pilot on Demand so I really don't have to watch this, but I think the show may warrant a second viewing to see what I missed. Some people have called the show bland, but I think as we figure out more about this time traveling thing, the main character and the audience will be less confused. Right now a lot of the why and how this is happening to him isn't even being acknowledged, much less answered, which doesn't give the story that necessary extra level of purpose.
Chuck is one of the new series that I am looking forward to the most, you should definitely check it out tonight if you can. This is Josh Schwartz's other new series he created this year (in addition to "Gossip Girl") and the pilot is directed by McG, so the team behind "The O.C." pilot is back together. The main character, Chuck, is a combination of Seth from O.C. and Jim from the Office and unwillingly becomes a superagent. Captain Awesome is awesome!(you''l have to find out for yourself) Plus theres a ninja in the pilot, that's right a ninja, you have to watch for that. If you miss the premiere, the pilot will re air Saturday at 8, and I am sure it will be available online all week.
So 6 1/2 hours of television to watch tonight, after only 2 1/2 last night (Simpsons, Family Guy and Shark), it almost feels like another vacation.
It is time to get serious though, for all of us, make sure you are taking full advantage of your DVR

I am amazed and a little frightened by you dedication. No mere mortal can absorb 6.5 hours of TV after working a full day. Me? I watched 20 minutes of The War before falling asleep...you are very special, Matt.
