Every Rose

So I finally watched the second episode of "October Road"(Thursday ABC 9) last night and I liked it. My only problem is that I may be biased due to the fact that the song they used for the closing montage was "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" (yeah it does)by Poison.
I like the cast(even Geoff Stults who was just another awful actor on 7th Heaven), its a good setup for a series, has some great music and its definitely good to see Bryan Greenberg(Jake from "One Tree Hill") and Laura Prepon(Donna from "That 70's Show) back on TV.
If you haven't given it a shot yet, you can catch up on the first 2 episodes online here. The series is centered around a novelist who returns home after being away for 10 years. He now has to deal with the repercussions from not only leaving his friends for 10 years but also the fact that they were characters in a book he wrote. While he was only planning to come back for one guest lecture appearance at the local college, he finds out that the girlfriend he left behind has a 10 year old son.
There has already been a classic line of "Just because you are an idiot doesn't mean you need to act like one"(which I feel I may be using often in the near future)

There is an Office Marathon tonight with 5 great episodes sandwiched around a new episode of "Andy Barker P.I."(Thursday NBC 8:30)which you can already watch online. I have always liked Andy Richter (even in "Quintuplets") and he is as funny as ever in this series. In a move that shows a lot of faith in the show, NBC has made the first 6 episodes available online.
