Another Monday and another double dose of "Heroes"(Monday NBC 8) and "The Black Donnellys"(Monday NBC 9). Heroes is quickly becoming my favorite show, and at least a part of that has to do with how easily the writers are able to focus on just a few characters but still keep adding to the storylines of all the Heroes. Last weeks episode was possibly the best yet, and the online gossip is that the next the next one is even better. Remember you can watch the entire series free online(with or without commentary) and each episode reairs Friday on Sci-Fi.
If you still somehow missed the pilot of "The Black Donnellys", and you are unable to come over and watch it in beautiful HD, then here is how you can get caught up. First of all, record the second episode when it airs this Monday, then you have some options. The pilot will replay Tuesday night at 11 on USA , then both the pilot and the second episode will air on Sunday afternoon on Bravo from 2 to 4. Also, the pilot is available online now. Don't miss out on this great new mob drama.

I've always thought that Nintendo Wii looked pretty cool, but Red Steel could be the game that draws in fans and helps to sell a lot of consoles, at least until PS3 and XBOX360 come down in price.

I don't really have time to read, but here is an interesting article about a book. The book My Year Inside Radical Islam : A Memoir tries to warn us of how easily radical Islam can take over the youth of America, but according to this article, he never did anything radical nor did he know about any al-Qaida connections.

Ann Coulter is an idiot, here is a video of her showing exactly what her idea of mudslinging is. I really hope this gets as much attention as Isaiah Washington did, if not share it with someone who will be outraged.

Joss Stone's third album Introducing: Joss Stone comes out March 20th and from what I've heard so far, it sounds great. She is able to keep the amazing soul feel and sound of her voice even when singing to music that sounds more like hip hop than soul music. Joss wrote all of the songs on this album and says,"My goal for '07 is to make good music popular again." It looks like this could be the album that finally forces everyone to take notice of Joss(implied nudity on the cover art and website never hurts), and this may be another step towards the return to glory for Soul Music(thanks Dreamgirls).

Dan's right. Gore's a boob. Always been one. I applaud him for the movement he's heading, but he's certainly not the spokesperson I'd put in charge. It's sort of like my reaction to Michael Moore in Farenheit 911: His personality alienated WAY too many folks despite the fact that he actually had something important to say. Most republican voters have completely tuned-out Gore's message (my pops is one, despite my proddings), not to mention that he's excruciatingly boring (out of my 30 freshman students this semester, only ONE has seen his film). *Everyone* needs to see the movie, I just wish production could've found another messenger (though I'm certainly aware it's Al Gore's baby, not someone else's). But how about Ditka?

So...Thomas Jones is gone and Lance Briggs is ticked. I can't figure out whether this is bad....or good. Jones was phenomenal when he needed to be this year. And though I've never been crazy about him (as the #1 guy), he seriously stepped up and I can't deny that. And what can you say about Briggs? Could be the best #2 man in the entire league. Given the events of today, this seems to have the workings of a locust plague (catch the "Revelation" reference?). But I have faith. Over the last 2 off-seasons, Angelo's draft picks and free agent signings have been huge. Plus, the offensive system seems much like Denver's -- plug in any running back and he'll do well (i.e., Arian Petersen, Anthony Thomas). If Briggs seriously won't sign (or holds out), then trade him while he's worth something. Though it'd surely be nice to win it all (and you need players like him), it'd also be nice to avoid another decade like the 90's. Yuck.

Saw The Illusionist last night -- not half bad. Don't rush, but if your Netflix queue is low (and you prefer movies with many beards), consider it.

Matty, your blog has been hijacked. Thanks for reading. Time to go watch Jack Bauer yell.
