The war is over

Or so it seems.
Oh, no, not that one.
I'm talking about the HD DVD format war.
You can now officially start watching for Blu-ray Disc to take over. Which means in less than 2 years your TV is going to be even more inadequate. Here's a funny posting on ZDNet about the acceptance of the Blu-ray Format.
I have lately been fascinated by On Demand HD programming on Comcast. They have free movies, concerts, documentaries and shows all available in HD. With the current down time in the TV schedule, I can't stop watching. I have run through all 5 Rocky movies, a Donavon Frankenreiter concert and The Ice Princess just to name a few.
I am amazed by the HD quality that can be watched on demand, and I can't even begin to imagine having everything on a disc that looks better than current HD.
I look forward to the day where everyone has HD cameras, and the standard home movie will be in 1080P, it will be like living in the future. Then we need flying cars. Then we should be good for 10 years or so. Cool. Thanks.
