Save the World, or something

I got a little inspiration while grocery shopping tonight.
I am still waiting for my damn Zorbeez to show up, so unfortunately I am still buying paper towels. But tonight I found Seventh Generation brand paper towels (as well as paper plates, napkins, facial tissue and toilet paper) and right under the brand name it says "Saves Natural Resources, Reduces Pollution" so I obviously checked it out. The back of the packaging told me that if every household in the U.S. replaced just one triple pack of virgin paper towels with 100% recycled ones we could save:
  • 1,660,000 trees
  • 4.2 million cubic feet of landfill space, equal to 6,600 full garbage trucks
  • 590 million gallons of water, a year's supply for 4,700 families of four
  • and avoid 101,000 pounds of pollution
Doing more research I have found that they also make garbage bags, laundry and dishwasher detergents, glass cleaners and many other environmentally friendly products. And all of their products have equally inspiring examples of how a simple switch can make a big difference. They also have online coupons available. So if you are looking to do your part in saving the world, this is a very easy step that everyone can and should take.

Now that I have preached and hopefully inspired, I have 2 funny videos for you to check out.
First is the hilarious video starring Zach Galifianakas on a farm. The video is for Kayne West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing" which also just happens to also be a good song.
Then check out this very interesting commercial, the less you know the better it is. But the dude is really freaky looking and obviously just needs purpose in life.
